A practical SEO service
You may have a good service and a working website, but the pages people need are hard to find, unclear or competing with one another. We work through those problems and give each important page a clear purpose.
The starting point is your business: what you sell, who needs it, where you can deliver it and what a worthwhile enquiry looks like. That guides the search work and the way we measure it.
What we can help with
- Technical SEO. Check whether important pages load, can be crawled and carry the intended indexing and canonical settings. Investigate broken links, duplicate pages and the mobile experience.
- Search and page planning. Match useful search topics to the pages that should answer them. Improve an existing page where it already serves the purpose.
- Service pages and useful content. Make your offer, coverage, price basis, evidence and next step clear. Write supporting guides when they answer a separate question your customers actually have.
- Titles, descriptions and internal links. Give pages accurate labels and connect related information so visitors can move from research to the right service.
- Local search content. Explain the areas you really serve, with consistent business details and useful local evidence.
- Measurement. Review available Search Console and analytics reports, define the starting point and track agreed enquiries alongside search performance.
The written scope identifies which of these your site needs, who will make the changes and how we will check them. A website rebuild, migration or work on external business profiles is scoped separately when needed.
UK Trade Jobs: our own product
Blue Canvas built and operates UK Trade Jobs, a specialist platform for trade vacancies, apprenticeships and career information. It combines searchable jobs, pay guidance and a free trade CV builder.
It is a useful example of how information and a product can work together. Someone researching a trade can read a guide, compare their options and move on to vacancies or CV preparation.
Read the UK Trade Jobs case study. It identifies our role and the evidence behind the work.
How an SEO project works
- Review the starting point. We look at the site, the commercial priorities and the reports available. If measurement is missing, we say so and agree what can be established.
- Agree the work. You receive priorities, deliverables, costs and checks in writing. We can work on one defined project or agree ongoing improvements.
- Make and check the changes. We prepare the content and technical work, publish the agreed scope and check the live pages and enquiry routes.
- Review the evidence. We compare appropriate reporting periods and explain what changed, what the data shows and what to do next.
Reporting you can use
The report should help you make a decision. We show the work completed, search visibility for the agreed pages, relevant organic traffic and the enquiries your measurement can support.
Search Console clicks, analytics visits and enquiries are different measures. We keep them separate, identify the period being reported and avoid attributing every change to the latest edit.
A technical fix can be verified as complete before search performance changes. Rankings, traffic and sales depend on factors beyond the work itself, so we do not guarantee them.
SEO scope and costs
The first 15-minute call is free. SEO work is quoted after an initial review and an agreed written scope. The quote sets out the pages or issues covered, delivery responsibilities, timing, reporting and any ongoing work.
Third-party tools, hosting and paid advertising are separate unless included in writing. You can start with a defined piece of work and decide about further improvements afterwards. See our prices and approach to scoping.
SEO and AI search
SEO focuses on discovery through organic search. Our AEO and AI search service also examines how agreed search and assistant products describe and reference a business.
Much of the website work overlaps: clear answers, accessible pages and reliable business information. We agree the objective and measurements before recommending the work, so you do not buy the same changes twice.
